Pension Division

How to make Widows and 'Orphans' Pension after the death of the Civil Pensioner? 

  • First obtain the death certificate of the pensioner and stop the pension.
  • If there is more money, sending letters to the bank to bring it.
  • Then informing the concerned person to bring the following documents
    • Original copy of the death certificate of the pensioner
    • Original copy of widow's birth certificate
    • Original Copy of Marriage Certificate
    • A photocopy of the widow's bank book
    • A photocopy of widow's identity card
    • A photocopy of Widow Orphan Card or Widow Orphan Number
    • A passport size color photograph attested by the Village Officer
    • All the photocopies of the above documents should be attested by the Village Officer.
  • Then, after they provide the relevant information, take the file and make the necessary arrangements to make the widow's and orphan's pension.

Why pensioners have stopped their pensions? 

  • Cessation of pension for non-grant of life assurance for the relevant year.
  •  After the pensioner arrives, give the life certificate and ask the village officer to bring it for attestation.
  • Later updation of pension on surrender of life certificate again.

Why don't the heirs pay the pension after the widow dies? 

  • Clarifying that there is no legal provision for the payment of any salary or arrears due to a person entitled to widow's or children's pension under the Widow's Orphan's Pension Act to their heirs after their death.
